About local paths and Finder names

Mount At requests your chosen absolute path, including when an authentication fallback is needed. Mounted checks that the correct server, share and account are mounted at that exact path, or reports an error. A share already connected elsewhere stays connected and is shown as “Mounted elsewhere”.

Your label in Mounted, the filesystem path and Finder’s displayed name are separate. Finder may still show the remote share name.

Chosen folders must already exist, be empty and be owned by you. A missing folder directly under /Volumes can instead be created through a manual administrator prompt. Unsafe or occupied paths are refused.

Mount At is implemented and covered by simulated tests. Live-server testing of selected paths and fallback connections is still pending.

Export selected shares with their groups and order intact. Passwords are excluded by default.
